Situation:

A beautiful house in an established neighborhood with almost everything to offer except rooms suited for 21st century living. The owners needed space to display their extensive collection of art and books, and a better connection to their private side yard, complete with fountain and Koi pond.

Solution:

Weave a new family room addition between the garage, pond, and existing kitchen among mature trees and landscaping, provide plenty of space for books, and a little nook for reading. Combine salvaged old bricks with new clinker bricks to match the Tudor exterior. Connect the new room to the garage with a timber breezeway and surround it all with a brick and wrought iron fence to create a perfect area for entertaining and a perfect place for the owners’ dogs to safely explore.
